  • Parent & Student Meeting: December 13 at 5:30pm in the WHHS Learning Commons

At each meeting, we will talk in-depth about the International Baccalaureate Programme options, what each programme includes, the benefits to participating, and the application process. Please contact Anna Jackson, IB Coordinator, for more information at anna.jackson@hallco.org.

WHHS Graduation Rate Improves

Written by Shenley Rountree. Posted in WHHS News

We have received verification of our graduation rate for the 2015-16 school year. We are BEYOND PROUD to announce that West Hall has the SECOND HIGHEST GRADUATION RATE in Hall County! We increased our graduation rate by 1.2% from the 2014-15 school year. Here are the results:

With this rate, we are in the top 8% of the state for graduation rate. This is AMAZING! Thank you for your hard work and your dedication to our students. While test scores and graduation rates do not define who we are, they are certainly indicative of how we are viewed in the general public. Furthermore, the fact that we are graduating very close to all of our diverse population is a worthy cause for celebration.

“Most Constitutionally Literate Community in the Nation”

Written by Shenley Rountree. Posted in WHHS News

us-constitutionAs a system, Hall County has designed a course to help educate some about the history of our nation and to help re-energize those who are already very astute in their knowledge of the Constitution. Our very own Matt Phillips helped design this course. We appreciate him giving of his time for such a wonderful cause and message. Please read the words from our Superintendent, and please know that I echo those same sentiments. We must do our part to make sure our kids and students understand that we do live in the greatest country in the world, and that it was built on a solid foundation that has sustained many generations. Please join the link and sign off at your leisure. Also, take some time to work through the modules to help make our community the “Most Constitutionally Literate in the Nation.”

We will pass out our Constitutions to all seniors during advisement on November 11, 2016 – Veteran’s Day. Two of our  very own veterans, Eric Radich and John Keyes, will assist in the disbursement. They will come by each senior advisement and give each student a copy of the Constitution.  This will be another great day in Sparta! I encourage all to wear their red, white, and blue on this day.

Proud to be an American and a Spartan!
Mr. Scott Justus, Principal
